I recently came into a little bit of extra cash, so I tell my wife that I will buy her a dishwasher and a new refridgerator if she allowed me to buy all of the books that I lacked to complete my collection. (18 total)
What she did not know is that I was intending on buying the appliances for her for Christmas, regardless if she said yes or no...so I banked on the assumption that I could get something out of it!

You're telling me your book collection is complete? Rare sight...wow!

So are you a poker champion where you come from Larry, or were you desperate to have something to do while you can't reach your computer?

It's absolutely great
You just hope the books you want aren't sold out before you get there (the shopping tales you hear these days... )

I'll keep my fingers crossed

~In the background, you hear the happy, happy, joy, joy song...~

I got them!
I bought 11 books and have 6 on order!
The ladies at the store were amazed and excited that I was there to bu over $100.00 of books! Now, the best part...Being a member of Walden Books club, I get 1 point for every dollar spent, and after 100, I get a $5.00 gift certificate! But today was double points day, so I got $10.00 certificate, plus the 10% discount saved me $11.00, and for buying a certain number of book (10 or more on sinlge purchase) I got another $5.00 certificate, and a carrying tote bag for all of them!

Now, I own 112 Forgotten Realms books, with 6 more on their way in 1 -2 weeks.
Therefore, I have the entire collection of paperback(not including Elminster in Hell and Drizzt's new one). I had not planned on it, but they had the sequal to the Summoning, by Troy Denning!
How can any man be happier than this???

Having 100$ at my disposal to buy books would be nice.... Though I believe I could easily use 10000$ on books if I found a good store with fantasy and sci-fi books.....

Holy Moly!
112 fantasy/sci-fi books!
That's some impressive collection you got there
I've just got my pay, and think I'll pay a visit to THE fantasy book store tomorrow..
I guess I've spent about 600$ there...
I can see a happy smile spread on their faces when I enter that store
