Does anyone ells think Feists Krondor serie is completly worthless.
I mean, the riftwar was good, serpentwar a lot beter(in my humble opinion) and now he brings us stuff we already now wich i think is boooooooooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. I am keeping an open mind however so if theres anyone out there who can tell me what the good side of the krondor serie is i would be most gratefull. ------------------ ![]() Those who watch their backs meet death from the front- Dreamer128 Demonslayer of the OHF. |

I totally agree with you that the Krondor series kinda boring. I liked the betrayal with Gorath and Owyn with some new light shed on the moredhel and magic but the assassins is boring indeed. James is starting to get a little annoying with his ever life saving thief skills. Didn't start with tear of the gods yet. Maybe later.

I reckon he and Wurts should do another series like Daughter of the Empire. The "book within a book" was fascinating. I'd love to see one set in Lanada or something, around the politics and culture of the Preist-King, and the Southern land just before the Serpent Queens invasion.
Alternatively Kelewan is a mine of source material. What a fascinating place. Hope he revisits it. ------------------ I am the walrus!.... er, no hang on.... ![]() A fair dinkum laughing Hyena! [This message has been edited by Yorick (edited 08-20-2001).] |

The Shadow War Saga is coming out next. You know in the enf of Shards of a Broken Crown, pug is having that secret meeting with his friends and they are talking about the next problems that they will be facing? That's the Shadow Wars he's talking about.
Yorick, I am completely with you on the Wurtz thing. I loved the Servant of the Empire series. Great read, and very fascinating to get what was happening on the other side during the riftwar. Dreamer, as much as I hate to admit it, the Krondor series is not that entertaining. As cool as it is to have Arutha and all them alive again, the stories just aren't doing anything for me. ------------------ "The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his." -General George Patton (1885-1945) ![]() Member of CLAN HADB |

Thats exactly what I have been waiting for for the last 2 years ![]() I was wondering whether he was going to do another series set after the serpent war. Wurts is a woman right? Does that explain why this series is a very tedious one? Maybe not as tedious as the krondor series but as a background series there has to be described so much details that make the story a rather slow one.

I thought his best book was the first one Magican which is kind of sad because as long as Ive been reading him I still think I wish it was as good as the first one, there was so much in that book.
On a side note my favorite fantasy series the Farseer trilogy and the Liveship traders were written by a woman, Robin Hobb Is a woman yes? Im nearly positive. ------------------ ![]() |

Perhaps someone could recommend if there are any other of his books on a par with Magician? ------------------ ![]() Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. Epona of The Laughing Hyenas |
