Ok, I'm into this book at about page 150, and the first 70 pages are very 'odd' to read.. it's almost like reading a screen-play or script.. funky..

I can say this without spoiling anything:

El gets captured by Nergal in Hell, he's a Badass banished Prince of Hell, and he is 'mind f'ing' El.. and This Devil wants the Silver fire. and every memory El gives up, he loses.. SO.. we see lots of never before seen memories (a few--yes, include nude women, and sex) , BUT... I think Ed Greenwood must have read Mem's posts, because the Devil makes a comment "Oh, don't you mortals do anything besides have sex" or something like that..

Anyway.. it's a WEIRD read, but getting better.. very odd worded sentences too--even more-so for an Ed Greenwood Novel.

Also, there are 3 different text types- 1 is IN HELL, another is the Devil in El's mind, and another is (I THINK) Current time, outside hell (Am I right?)-- I wish they would clarify that.. just kinda made it confusing at first...

Anyone else reading this? Your Opinions?

Am I a fool?

Hell (pun?) No you're not!! When I heard it was out, I THOUGHT it was going to be out in Paperback and Hardback, and was planning to also buy paperback, but man, it took a year almost for Servant of the Shard to reach paperback, so I bit the bullet, and bought it.

Hey though... nice paper stock!!

Seeing as it will take forever to get to Australia, I'm going to buy it on Amazon.com tonight.

LOL, better to know ones enemies, right? I'm sure you enjoy no satisfaction from the story whatsoever.

To be honest, I'm only buying it because it seems to be a spinoff of the Return of the Archwizards trilogy penned by Troy Denning. I'm not expecting much.
