Hey guys,
1. Does anyone know what the situation is with Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman completing the third book in the Raistlin Chronicles? The first being Soul Forge and the second being Brothers in Arms, and the third should be forthcoming, but I can't find any info on it. 2. I know there are a TON of Forgotten Realms books, but which would be considered the "core" reads? Also, all the major books about Drizzt would be appreciated. I've read all Dragonlance books, but never knew where to start on Forgotten Realms. Thanks for the info! ------------------ trux |

Thanks Lioness! Got some good suggestions from that thread and the other one linked from it.
So from those threads I got the Avatar Trilogy and the Icewind Dale Trilogy. Any others anyone? ------------------ trux |

Liky you, most of the books that I have read have been about Krynn. The only books that I have read that dealt with the Forgotten realms have been written by R. A. Salvatore. Here is a list of the books, in chronological order, that deal with Drizzt and his companions:
The Dark Elf Trilogy: Homeland Sojourn Exile Icewind Dale Trilogy: The Crystal Shard Streams of Silver The Halfling's Gem Legacy of the Drow Series: The Legacy Starless Night Siege Of Darkness Passage to Dawn The Silent Blade Spine of the World Servant of the Shard. ------------------ All the world is a stage and we are all actors playing our parts. |

Alaric,
Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for on the Drizzt front. Thanks for the info, I'll be checking them out systematically from the library. ------------------ ![]() a bunch of long hairs. trux |

You should try Mel Odom's "Threat From The Sea" trilogy as well! The three books are Rising Tide, Under Fallen Stars and The Sea Devil's Eye. Also, with regards to Alaric's earlier post the books Silent Blade, Spine Of The World and Servant Of The Shard are part of the "Paths Of Darkness" series and the fourth book, Sea Of Swords Is due out in October. Anything by Elaine Cunningham is generally a good read as well.
