Mad

Ok so after starting this game four or five times, and getting distracted before finishing it, I'm finally in the city. What a mess!
First off, I'm trying to get through this with as few spoilers and as little help as possible.
Has anyone but me noticed that you get hit with a new sidequest about every ten steps in here? lol..
I just decided to keep an actual written log of them rather than the journey book. At least then I can keep them in order.
One question though. Are there any quests other than the poison one that have time limits? I plan on doing the totsc quests as soon as my mage/thief gets her thieving skills back.
thanks.

The poison quest is, as far as I know, almost the only timed quest in the game. I tend to leave the city for VERY long times, then come back to finish all those quests, and I have never had a problem. Although if there was another timed one, you would probably be able to guess that. Also, congratulations on getting into BG! Yes, there are many, many quests .

it's like some sort of nightmare isn't it - but in a good way

as you have a PC thief you have the advantage of and excuse for going house to house through the city meaning you do a lot of the quests 'by accident' good luck though!

I also keep my own notes when I want to do every quest. I also make a point of raiding every house, you never know what you might find

I'm only recently back in the city. I have learned you coordinate the quests with where you are heading in town so you get the maximum done in the minimum time. In three days I have dealt with the poison quest, returned the boy's body to his father, wacked the mage and the two wacko ladies in the ship, silenced a bassilick, given the gem to the seer, cured the little girl, freed the nymph, cured gorak, met fenton, the two necromancers, wacked an Ogre, a guard and his blink dogs, and assisted in a robbery.

Now that I have removed some oozes from a tavern I am off to get a mage, then I will do another robbery for the guild, and then I will complete the guild quest which is a ten day timed one too. After this I will hunts some Ankhegs, turn them in to Fenton, pickup my armor at feldposts and then return to start the real quests starting with the Merchant league and then the seven suns trading guild.

Then I'll take a nap

Just make sure there's no one around to call the town guard on you.
