Char. build question

I'm building a Monk/Pale Master character at the moment and need to chuck in some wizard lvls (3 should do it) to get the PM. Only thing is I'm uncertain what type of wizardry to take (Necromancy?) or benefits with each one as I have never had a Wizard char. All advice on this is welcome as I am about 3 lvls from having to start the wizard lvls.

The trick to specialist wizards in D&D is to know what they CAN’T do. The specialist gets one extra spell per level but loses the ability to cast spells from the opposing school.

Check the appendix of your grimoire for a list of spells by school.

Decide which school you can do without and pick a school which opposes it. Note: not all schools are exact opposites…

School you pick…………….Opposing School

Abjuration…………………..Conjuration
Conjuration…………………Transmutation
Divination…………………..Illusion
Enchantment……………….Illusion
Evocation………..…………Conjuration
Illusion……………………..Enchantment
Necromancy………………..Divination
Transmutation………………Conjuration
