NWN 2 Big change Not D&D

I was on the Bioware main site and reading the round table discussion. It seems that bioware is making Neverwinter Nights II but it will not be D&D or AD&D based because they don't want to pay Wizards of the Coast for the use of of the D&D or AD&D name and characters.
Mods will not be allowed to be made by the public that use any D&D names like the Undermountain, Grayhawk, Forgotten Realms...ect. that can or will be used in The NWN II game. in fact Bioware has not desided yet if they will even use the name NWN II at all. The have given it a name of Dragon Age and that they are building a whole new world in which they will desige whole new cities, forests and dungeons as well as a new rule set that has nothing to do with the world of Neverwinter or anything that resembles D&D.

NWN 2 is not Dragon Age.

NWN 2 is being made by Obsidian ( with help from Bioware ) and will be using 3.5 Ed rules. Forums for NWN 2 are here.

Dragon age is being made by Bioware in a world they made up and control. Should be good to get out of the forgotten realms for a while.

I would be OK with that. Every RPG doesn't have to be D&D. There are some really good ones out there that are not D&D and a switch is OK once in awhile. I don't think it would be called NWN however.

This is one of the links I read that calls Dragon Age NWN 2. and if you read beyond you will see that Bioware lost the contract with Dragons of the coast and that NWN 2 will be using a complete new engine and WILL NOT BE D&D but a completety different story line unrelated to D&D. I will find the other Post and link it.

I think Bio has said on a number of occasions that Dragon Age and NWN 2 are not the same thing, so we're safe.
