The NWN manual gives the strong impression that you can take a single player PC and play him/her in a MP environment. The manual also states that you can *save character*,,, exit the MP environment,, return to SP, and continue the SP game with the XP and stuff gained in the MP environment. I could not get this to work. I took my PC into EfU and gained some XP and treasure, *saved* the character. I left the EfU mod and went back to a SP game. The manual sez something about when you are at the "load" screen, you should get an option to "upgrade character",,,, and that by doing this, you transfer any XP and treasure to the PC in the SP game. Well,,, I don't get an option to *upgrade character*. If this indeed works, would someone on this board give me a walkthru, Thanks.

One problem that I can think of is dealing with the CEP and your single-player game. Are you referring to the official single-player game or a downloaded module single player? If you took an object out of Ziroc's mod and it was a CEP product, and your Single-player game is not set up to accept those codes, then there is one of your problems. Sorry, gotta go. I have three kids wanting to eat right now.

When you're loading the original single player game load it as multiplayer game instead and you'll get any later versions of the same character available for play. Make sure that you're not posting it to the internet (I think it's under advanced settings when you load the game) or you might get company!

Larry's right you'll get problems with CEP items unless you change the module properties and the OC doesn't allow that. The items often work, they're just invisible or black boxes.

I'm playing an official SP game. Why wouldn't the SP game accept those codes? I mean, you load the CEP into the NWN directory! The CEP is supposed to allow you to create MOD's right? It would make no sense to create a MOD using CEP items, and not be able to play it on your own CP in a SP environment. How could you test your MOD if you couldn't do this?

Thanks roddybug! I didn't know this(I'm am VERY new to playing on-line). Yea, ya upgrade the PC in MP mode, then exit and reload in SP mode,,,and you have your goodies. BTW, the *gray hood* you can buy from Durnan(under armor) shows up as a black or white box, not a hood, in SP mode. Everything else I bought must be in the "official" game, 'cause they show up normally.

When I downloaded the CEP, none of the CEP material showed up for me to use on the Toolset for me to be able to add stuff to my character I created. I had to go load all the haks into the module manually. That module was one I built for character creation. I honestly do not know how the CEP works with the official campaign.

I spent three or four hours today trying to figure out how to put the CEP in my main game. I found nothing on the internet on how or even if it could be done. I'm still going to look and I'll get back if I find out how or if it can be done.
