Chapter question

Hi,

My machine’s PSU decided to ‘blow’ up a while back, and now I’ve finally put in a new one, however the OS had somehow been corrupted so a full re-install was needed.
I was just finishing chapter 2 of the OC in the tower, but of course I’ve lost that saved game, so my question is do I have to start all over again, or is there a way to pick up from chapter 2 or 3?

Spoilers here...

Actually, there are a couple of ways, both available at IGN. There is Chewbacca's Novice to Epic char maker, which can start you in any chapter, I believe, and there was King Dutka's Char leveler, which used to be able to do the same thing.
Another option is to enter the code, which would allow you to start at any chapter. Put this in your nwnplayer.ini folder, under game options: CODEWORD=hacktastic.
Edit to correct the code.

You can also go to your NWN/NWM folder, and copy the Chapter3.nwm file to your NWN/Modules folder. Then you rename it Chapter3.mod and you're good to go. Note that you'll find it under Other Modules though, not on the official list.

About what level should I be to start chapter 2 or 3?
and is Chewbacca's Novice to Epic char maker, called that?

I'd say somewhere around lvl 6 for chapter 2, and there is a post here with links to it, under the name of novice to epic char, posted by Chewbacca.
