Well I saw a thread on the Bio forums like this one, interested to get the IW opinion. This covers standard and prestige classes and/or both.
Mine are as follows: Standard Class : Monk, boring as hell to me. Never played this class and never want to...I have trouble even accepting it into D&D. Prestige Class: Harper Scout I guess, I don't mind it but it's more of a waste of a prestige class..like a specialist priest.

I think it depends on the module being played, if it is multi or single palyer and if it is action or roleplay oriented.
I find fighter classes on the whole to be boring in a hack n slash enviroment as oxymoronic as that sounds. I would rather have to depend on a creative mix of spells and items to defeat a mob, than to just wade in and thwack away and take the occasional potion when I am hurt. |

Least favorite.. hmm. I generally favor the more difficult classes, but I tend to avoid rangers in practically every game I play. Salvatore has a role in that.

I hate playing thieves in any edition or game. I always have (I have no real reason...they just rub me wrong). Bard is an extremely close second.
Harper Scout would fit as the prestige class I wouldn't play (kind of mix of thief and bard).

I guess most would avoid them because they'd be so hard to play on a solo mission, but that's the price for being the jack of all trades, and the master of none. |

Guys, you don't have to have a 'legitimate' reason to not like a class. Like myself, "rub me the wrong way" is all you need since everyone has their own personal preferance.
There's no explaining mine, I just can't stand monks and never could. I even omitted them as a charcter class from my campaign world when I played PNP lol. They are powerful characters and are great in PVP but don't move me at all. The only thing I like about em in this game is the coloured eyes part and sometimes use them as NPC's. Regular fighter comes up second now that I think of it. Again this class (a pure fighter) is too boring for me. RPG's are all about taking on a persona you can only dream about...Fighter and Monk, IMHO are mundane.

As far as prestige classes go, harper scout gets my vote as absolute worst, and I really don't have a particular dislike for regular classes, i've tried them all, but if i had to choose, then probably mages/sorcerors, too weak to stand alone early, worth the effort late, but i hate reloading all the time.

I would have to say Rangers. Don't ask me why but I finished NWN with a ranger. BOOOOORING! Every battle was EXACTLY the same. Hack... slash... hack... slash... kill... move on to next battle.

I loathe Bards. Have never played one or had one in my party, except in NWN, and that was just because Sharwyn was so damned hot.
