OK, I found good ole Kol but I never got a key from him and before I found out about the key he wandered off from me. Is there anyway, other than to go back and start the game over to get that blasted key from him? I mean, can you find him again? If so, where?

I have heard that he is waiting somewhere around still and that it suffices to go to the location where you have talked with him and say "hail". I've never tried it so that I cannot say whether it works
Nevertheless, not having the key, you do not lose to much. You are losing 3 ankhs, that's all. There are many ankhs in the game before you. Therefore, keep in mind that you have to ask Kol "key" next time. You can ask it immediately without waiting for some event. In the meantime, you can continue the game without having spoilt anything essential for the game run.

While you will meet up with Kol later in the game, if he's left the Serpent Temple area before you got the key, you cannot get the key UNLESS
you have a save game from shortly before the time you meet him, revert back to the last time you were in town IF that was before you met Kol, OR you can hack yourself a key (I can give you instructions on how to do that) But it really isn't that important that you have the key. I've played a couple of games where I never bothered with it at all. Wyv |

All the key does is to open up a small treasure room with a statue of Kerah. It doesn't really add anything vital to the game.
Chalk it up to a missed opportunity and move on. Cet's blackened soul awaits!

Also there is the in that room the item I love to hate: The amulet of life. It contains 4 ressurect spells. It lists as a quest items and thus cannot be sold. In my current play-through of the game I have 6 of them. I cannot sell them, I never get to use them, since my characters virtually cannot die, and if I throw them away, they just will not disappear.
