Sometime ago some nice fella had made a useable sound set utilizing some of the sounds from non playable characters like bandits and hobgoblins. Does anybody know any sites that have them? Also where(folder, etc) are the sounds for these characters stored in the game?
Spare no one! Now that was a stinker! [ 04-13-2003, 06:20 PM: Message edited by: madjim ] |

![]() Now, I don't know of this site you refer to, but all the sounds are kept in a large file called CHITIN.KEY. You can only open that file with a program like Near Infinity. ![]() |

Thanks Sir Exxon. In some ways I feel like I am trying recover some lost technology - I know someone created a complete voice pack for the bandit that could be assigned to a character including those famous utterances : "Stop picking yer nose"! and "I hate those Flaming Fist Pansys"!
I have recently used Biff Strip to crack open some of the sounds but now they seem to be in a format called "WAC" which are not recognised by any of the sound/music players I have. I'll keep after it though. As the Hobgoblins say: Spare No One! |

If your opening sounds from BG2, youll need to convert them from WAVC to WAV. But sounds from BG1 should be just fine.
