Hi guys!,

Just bought this so far good game off Ebay.
Can anyone tell me about training?, specifically, I trained a couple of my guys in a couple of things, but when I try to train them again, it says "In Training". How long does this last for?. How do they become trained as opposed to in training?.
Many thanks!.

Welcome to the W&W board, Desdicado!!!

The skills are already applied.. .. The training lasts unitl your next level-up.

.. ..Always try to go to town, after level-ups. That way you get max oppertunities to train.

Keep us posted.

Excellent, that makes a lot of sense. I must say I am really enjoying this game so far. A lot better than Wizardry 8 which I bought recently. Very much Old School, like the Eye of the Beholder games (showing my age).
Any tips regarding party makeup?. I've gone with 3 fighters, rogue, priest & mage.

Welcome to the board, Desdicado!!!

Training is very useful and as Packrat already mentioned last until your next level up. You might want to check the BEST TIPS thread for suggestions on training. There are some skills which I never considered worth putting level up points and money into and others which are really worth while.

Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Seems like just about any party combination will work in this game which is nice. Since it is very easy to change classes along the way you always have time to add in skills that you think are missing as your party grows. I've never heard of a player scratching their original line up because it didn't work (Did read that happening in Wiz 8 where the game does not lend itself well to class changes).

My own favorite beginning party combo is Fighter, Rogue, Mage, Mage, Priest, Priest. Okay - I like magic users!

Yes, in Wizardry 8, I considered a restart and change of party, my frined actually restarted 3 times in total. W&W seems a lot better in that respect as well as in respect of the combat system.
Can anyone tell me where I can find a thieves guild?. All my other characters are in guilds except her?. ( A hint instead of a spoiler would be cool!).

A hint? Hmmm, a hard question to give a hint to... Let´s see you can´t find one in Valeia, but then again you´ll visit more towns right? Hope that helps, lol...

A hint is indeed difficult You will not find one in this first "section" of the game (pity).

Ya Wyvern is right it is hard to hint in this game but Willow gave a good one. But when you start playing before you selected your charactors I think it may have been wise to check the bar to the left and check out the different things that could help you also.

but you can still use that just put your guys in the inn and the bar will show up again.

Hope that helps a little
