Hi Korv!
Got your private message but unfortunately it doesn't give me your email address so I couldn't reply there. When you do the VIRTUALDUB fix - are you sure you are doing it correctly? I ask only because other players have gotten confused over the part where you have to give the newly created files different names, remove the old files of those names and then move the new files and rename them blah blah blah. If you did all of that correctly, the next question is: WHICH VERSION OF DIRECTX are you using?? For many people DX 8 has been the root of their problems. Might be helpful if you repost all your computer information so we know what we're working with here. I'm not the techie guru on this site, Xignal and Detah have been most helpful in this area in recent months. Hopefully they will latch on to this thread and come up with better advice than I can. Thanx for your msg Wyv.
I "think" I'm doing it right, but I'll check again, and get back to you. My tech specs are: P3 1.2, 80 GB HDD (7200), 128MB SDRAM, NVIDIA GeForce IImx/MX 400, Win XP OS. My second computer (also running W&W) is a clunking P1 200, 10GB HDD (5400), 64MB SDRAM, Voodoo II, Win 95 OS. Thanx again for your help, and for welcoming me to the board. Korv. |

Umm, dunno. I can't seem to find a virtualdub site (although I'm still checking). The game does run on my P1 but a little slow. Well... very slow really. But I can still play and that's really all that counts.
Im playing W&W! heh heh Korv |

There are some amazing things to find on this site y'know.
Just found some new addresses for the virtualdub thingy. I'm off to see if these'll work. This is a really great site. Many, many thanx Wyv! |

Odd...
The web site is there and virtualdub worked! Thank you, thank you, thank you! But... My XP OS doesn't like it much, I seem to suffer from a red circle with a line through it problem now. The 200 has no probs though. Could you give me some game help please? I seem to have misplaced Ardibren (the little wizard guy) at Shuregan Castle. Umm, how to I kill the demon? As for the 1.9, it would be nice playing on it *sigh* but at least it's working on my slower machine |

(blushes)
I can't take the credit! Ziroc has set up a great site and bunch of forums and I just help maintain this one for W&W. I'm firmly convinced that I've got the very best posters here in the W&W forum - the best forum on the web!! ![]() Wyv |

Dunno, if you got the last post, or not, but could you please give me a tip as to how to finish the Shrugeon Castle quest?
I have (probably due to gross stupidity) managed to misplace the little wizard guy, and I don't know how to kill the demon. Please help. Korv. |

Ardibren is waiting for you in a clearing on E-SE side of the castle. He has been attacked by a werewolf.
NOTE: you may want to get the Werewolf quest first. You can find the werewolf wandering the shire area. I found him not far from that chest in the NW center area. Detah |
