i Cant get the monks ward i opened the chest near the the broken cart and and stuff but i cant seem to find it

Look north of the sand area - should be in a chest ne of Cet's Pyramid, if I recall correctly.

More east than NE, IIRC, and the chest is also a whole lot harder to open than any other I've seen. Level 12 to 14 trap, I believe (since it's Moderate for a level 12 Traps & Locks skill).

Yeah it sure was a tough little lock to pick. Fortunately my halfling thief/ninja/assassin/monk was 100% resistant to the random trap, making multiple tries painless yet fruatrating.
I don't remember identifying the ward, or seeing anything unique in my inventory, but when I got back to the temple I was rewarded for completing the quest. A bit odd. What DOES it look like, then?

It looks like an amulet. With a green stone, IIRC. And of course, a big *restricted* logo for everyone except a monk (or maybe a zenmaster).

Y'know, I thought I'd gotten the Monk's Ward before I got the quest and sold it, but could never find it, 'cause I thought it was supposed to be in the chest by the cart also! If I remember correctly, I got that info from the "Tome of Misinformation"! GAAAAHH!!! It's prob'ly still sittin' there. It's destiny yet unfulfilled. :_(

Hi All! I never did find the Monks Ward either - perhaps I did the same as Dr. Pick suggested and sold it or something, but I sure don't remember ever seeing it. Hope you have better luck with it!
