I power up my party with as many enhancement and defense spells as possible first. Then, I give him the powered-up masque of death. Then my warriors wack on him while my mages cast lightning and my priest heals as needed.

The spells I tryed casting on him didnt effect him so i just hacked and slashed till he was dead. also had to dodge flamestrike that he would cast every so often..

Well, despite the fact that I have a pumped up party because I made full use of the inn gold bug and joined every guild I could from early on, I played hide and seek with him. I walked in, used the mask on him, and while he was doing his NOOO thing and talking, I backed out of the room. Open door, toss a spell, back out, Haleabus fire spell, door closes, spell hits door. Repeat. Works like a charm and I took no damage. Killed him with elemental blasts.

I pretty much did just as Xignal did except that i don't think i beefed my guys up prior to the fight, although i might have blessed 'em once or twice. anyway, i didn't have much of a problem with him eventhough he hit me with a flamestrike once or twice.
