It's not that bad. You just need a bit of adjusting and make sure you boots your hand to hand combat skills. Where are you in the game?

Naw i played trough those quests again.. im standing next to the dragon with the shroud now.. but umm.. i cant give it to him.. the shroud doesnt show up on use

Make sure you're not using it as a shield. Equiped items cannot be given away. Also, say the magic word first.

Got it thanks.. i just didnt relalize that there was a give option.. i thought use/give was the same untill i clicked on the "give text"

If you're playing the Patched game, there's an item later in the game that will help you with the "negative" aspects of being a vampire. It has some kickin' resistances as well.

In Skull Castle, you can get the ring from the Vampire lady Adrianna there after completing her quest. It removes the "Bloodthirst" problem, as well as adding some cool resistances.

Im not playing the patched game.. but either way.. I replayed my way.. killed the vampire this time.
