Cet's temple --Helping Kerah

K. So I figure she needs some water from
the holy pool near the beginning of the
temple. I pick some up and give it to her.
She says "That won't help me fool". I cannot
find another place to get holy water. I already have both champion keys, but I
gather the door won't open without helping Kerah first, cause I already tried.

Whats up with that?????

You're doing it right. Putting water from the pool into a flask creates Holy Water. This will cure Kerah from Cet's 'Twisted Master' spell, but only when she is in friendly mode. You know when this is because she says she is thirsty. Be quick 'cos she will go back to aggressive mode pretty fast.

PS: This is also the part when lots of people have reported a 'freeze' bug. Be sure to save first.

My system's crashing right after she drinks the holy water. Does anyone know what the fix is? I thought it was because I'm running under Win2K (I know, I know but I really don't want to go back to 98). Please tell me there's a fix!

Paramedic,

I don't know of a true fix. Some people have added additional RAM to make it work. I've had it happen several times using WinME. I save VERY often, try and avoid all extra keyboard and mouse movement (except to fight Kerah and give her the flask), and wait until she fades away before moving again.

Thanks. Being very very still was the answer. Finished the game - guess I'll have to start again. :^(

Welcome to the board Tricky and Paramedic!!!

Paramedic - memory upgrades do seem to help with this crash problem, but there is another solution - send me a ZIPped copy of your gamexx.sav (no other files) - should be a save when Cet is corrrupting Kerah - shortly before you need to give her the holy water. I'll run through that section of the game for you (never fails on my system), save the game and send it back to you. You should then be able to complete the game with (I hope) no more problems!

Well that was a pretty "Tricky" trick to play on me bring up this way old post and making me think that I had missed TWO new posters! LOL!!!

Tricky,
You must fight cursed Kerah first - she will become hostile and she will attack you - wait a moment and do not run away. After some fighting, she becomes "thirsty" and she will ask you for some Holy Water. This is when you give her the water. One bottle suffices.
