Killed the rat at the burned out hut and THINK I must have gotten the Assasin's Dagger from it. Does the Rat GIVE the dagger if you kill....if not....how can I get my Ninja to Assasin now without the Dagger? Any help would be most appreciated!

Welcome to the board, Arnok!
You have to accept a quest from Scanthril (it's a 2 part quest). When you complete the quest he GIVES you the assassin's dagger. If you just killed him without doing the quest and getting the dagger from him (alive) then you didn't get the dagger. Can you restore your game to before having killed him?? If you can't, let me know. Wyv |

If you killed the "Dred of the Wood" before he gave you the assassin's dagger, you will find a very similar looking dagger on the ground (black blade). Don't be fooled, it's not the assassin's dagger.

Unfortuneatly, there is no way to become an assassin without that dagger. Your best bet would be to reload a save from before you killed him. Other than that, there is no way to do it. That is kind of you Wyvern I appreciate the offer of help...what I think I am going to do is just go ahead and finish the game with the party that I have now (on way to Collasium) and then once done will start new game with different party members and this time will get the dagger. Thanx all for your posts I appreciate the responses!!
