Can anyone tell me how to make my characters jump. I'm good at falling and going up and down small stairs, but if it is slightly larger than a normal stair in say the crypt, I can't seem to get up it. I've seen other posts about people jumping from one place to another. How?

You could try adjusting your line of sight. I mean, in real life, I look down as I go down stairs and up as I go up. That seems to work when transferred into the game (pity some of the magic can't be transferred out!).
I found the best way to jump across something was look up, then take a run up and press the 0 key just before your feet leave the ground. Jumping takes some practice, and is hard to describe. Save before you try, and make some attempts. I never did master climbing down a ladder, though. PS: I just noticed my new picture! That's how I feel today - how did you Ironworks people know???? Welcome to the board, Bladud!
The zero key on the number pad will make your characters jump. It helps to have them looking up a little (or a lot depending on what you are trying to do). Also pressing a direction key and the shift key at the same time will increase the distance they can jump. Hope you get the knack of that!! (and we all fall down ladders save for a few special players who have played often enough to more or less master descending a ladder - I rather like the Fall and Splat method! ![]() Wyv |

Thanks for the information. I managed to whole process of running and jumping around very quickly I think. Does that mean I should now practice my fall and splat or the really dexterity trial of going down ladders?
