THE GAEL SERRAN EXAMINERSazerac, Editor Special Reporter/Photojournalist: Knarfling EDITORS NOTE: This article was written in its entirety by Knarfling. Thanks to our newest reporter on staff! Enjoy. Malfunctioning Monks' Ward Brings Unexpected ResultsIn a surprising development, it was learned today that the fabled Monk's Ward actually protects people against Monks. Exactly how it affects this protection is not clearly understood, but one aspect has become frightening obvious. Somehow, the ward has changed the Monk Quest from collecting 5 flowers to wasting two days away from town, naked and helpless. It was discovered that the next step was that the Monk quest would be changed again so that the person wishing to become a monk would have to go on the quest solo for 3 days and not be able to use magic while doing so. Another addition would be that the person trying to become a monk would then have to fight a four-armed Dumdee-Oleoh bare-handed without magic. The goal of the Ward seems to be to make the quest so long and boring while reducing the benefits of becoming a monk, that people would rather train for a different class and profession. If the tediousness of the quest still would not deter someone, an almost certain death at the end of the quest might. After unearthing these facts, this reporter was attacked by a four-armed Dumdee-Oleoh in an attempt to prevent this information from being released. Fortunately, the monsters were not yet fully developed and this reporter was able to escape with his life after taking this daring shot. ![]() At this time, it is unknown if the Ward was created by Cet, Kerah, Anephas, or some as yet unknown source. The fact that this artifact is being sought after by the Temple in Brimloch Roon is alarming. It is not yet known if the priests are being twisted to do the Ward's bidding, or if the priests are using the ward in a jealous attempt to prevent Monks from challenging them as spiritual leaders in the Gael Sarran. Malakai of the Temple at Brimloch Roon refused to comment when approached. --Knarfling __________________________________________________ ______ Keep watching for further updates to the Gael Serran Examiner. Oh My! So Thankful I did not have a Monk in my party! Too impatient to wait out two days naked and unarmed...to have to go through even more tortous tasks to complete the quest might have made me go insane and quit the game!

So that's why I couldn't find it. Alright, own up, who's holding it?
