After playing in the big city for a day, I came across the assassin who had knowlegde of the poisoning. Unfortunately, I didn't believe him and I killed him. Now I have a problem. How can I get cured without him to led me the way through?

Welcome to the boards, Bulgar1994.

You might be able to finish the quest with him being dead now. Did he tell you where to go and what to do before you killed him? If so, start doing it.

Two things, Bulgar.

First and foremost, how far back is your oldest Saved game? If it's before you killed the assassin (better yet, before you even met the assassin), DON'T delete or write over it. You may need it.

Second, give us exact details and plenty of them. The assassin was NOT kidding when he said your party is poisoned, and you WILL die unless you finish this quest correctly. So: Who exactly did you kill? There isn't just one assassin, there are two: Marek and Lothander. Tell us exactly what you have said or done in any dealings with these two, and we'll let you know where you screwed up.

In north-east part of Baldur´s Gate, not too far from Blushing Mermaid inn. IF I remember anything correctly.

its part of the main quest in the game, one assassin is a git the other is cursed to obey the iron throne he warns u that the other guy slipped poison int o your food or somesuch but he'll only help you with the antidote if you do some things for him, then you have to kill the other assassin for his half of the antidote, but if you dont get that antidote i think your main char will die and its game over theres no way round it as its script activated and not a visible spell or poisoning, so hope you got an old saved game or by killing (marek, you hope) the assassin that you got his half of it, you have 10 days before your dead.

On day 353, I meet up with Lothander and I killed him - After he told me of the poisoning and would not give the antidote. Did not meet up with Marak any more.

Now on day 359 and all my NPC's and I have received warnings of our health. My best oldest saved day is on day 357.

You are in BIG trouble. Lothander didn't give you the antidote because he didn't want to, but because he couldn't. The ONLY way to get cured is to complete his quest exactly as he tells you to: See the Diviner, get the Geas Removal Scroll from Jalantha Mistmyr, and take the Scroll back to Lothander. Only THEN will Marek reappear in the game (Lothander will tel you where), and only by talking to Marek can you truly cure your party. As you have no Saved game old enough to enable you to do this, you'll need to do some fancy footwork if you want to keep this game.

What I Suggest You Do:
1) Go To: Volothamp's Comeuppance, Chapter 13 and scroll down until you get to the section for Baldur's Gate I, Chapter 5. There you can read a little bit more about the Poison Quest.
2) Go To: Arundor's Abode and go to the page on "Baldur's Gate Customization, AI Scripts." Download this file: "Poison Cure - This script will help you cure yourself of Marek's and Lothander's posion. Read the readme to find out how to use it."
