Figured it was you *smile*. As you can see I'm very new here so don't know how to add the smileys lol. Glad to see someone here I know, specially one as knowledgeable and nice as you.

Aw, thankies, Strider, hope my head can still fit through the door, lol. Some smilies can be typed in per usual, but the animated and unique ones will need an url. Finally figured out how to access the images Wyvern posted under the Show me your Smilies post. At least this works for me. Enclose your image url in brackets [ ] to call up the image. Example url:

Hi Carg and Davros,
I knew some of them but the guy with the sunglasses had me stumped!
Am still at a loss as to how to effect the smilies to the left of the subject line in the intial post header. Where do we type that in? Thanks, am real glad we have some smilie experts on board!

Sorry for barging in on your private conversation, but I couldn't help overhearing Strider saying about not knowing how to use smilies.
Below are some basic ones; you can also insert elaborate ones with the [img src=] command; there is a thread on this board from a few days ago with a LOT of them.

I hardly feel an expert, but hanging around on this board for a while made me pick up some of the basics, like when someone writes:
6) ...
7) ...
...
9) ...
you quickly get the idea.
When you create a new message there are a number of drop-down boxes you can select from, and one of them is the type of message. Open this one and you'll see a (limited) list of smilies to choose from.

And getting back to the original topic, are you the same Elara that I just saw on the U9 Jackchaos board, getting some friendly advice from my old mate Hannibal? You move very quickly .

ohhh, topic icons! Thanks Carg. I know why I hadn't caught on.. I rarely start a new message thread ... no practice!

Yes, Davros, I am she. You get around too! Am really enjoying U9. Course I'm one of the few who really liked U8, Pagan, hehe, so that might not say alot for my taste, right? Hannibal is most informative and a good read in his posts to boot.
