Ok what do i need to get in this place - I swam over to the pirates treasure and went in that little area but cant seem to get past the door after the lever. Can't seem to find any other way in that sucker? Heeeeeellp!!! please =)

YOu need to find another door.
The door near the pirate's treasure cannot be opened from outside.

I think if you head NE you should find another. (I found more than one door IN)

Hmm not the collapsed door at the large temple? I swam around that thing too. Are there more ruins other than the big one with a busted door and the door by the pirates treasure?

Those are the only ruins. When looking at the main building head on, head to the right side of the building and look for a hole down at the bottom of the wall, I believe triangular/uneven shaped. That area will lead to an entrance to Collasium.

You're looking for the Three Tablets of Cet; you need them to enter Cet's Pyramid for the final showdown. They're hidden in three separate chests throughout the city.
