I used to play IWD1 on Insane Difficulty all the time. This resulted in more XP per kill, more XP on quest rewards, as well as more monsters to deal with.
This isn't described in the manual. Is it the same in this game?

IIRC there is no dificulty reward in XP, but the ease of use mod adds one.
