i need help in chapter 2

i need help in chapter 2 getting through the forest.

I just finished it a couple of days ago.

I made a diagram starting at the beginning i.e. start ne nw se, chose a direction and mapped out what went there, and so on to the end. Luckily, most of the choices lead back to a previous point. You can't just walk off into the sunset. It's just a matter of keeping track of which areas you've been to already, since they all look alike. Someone here suggested dropping cheap items on the ground a la hanzel and gretel.

If you haven't figured it out, there are I think five settings in the forest: the wolf den, the wide screen (exits w, n, e), the long screen (exits w, sw, e, se). I forget the others. These screens get recycled; however there are only one set of enemies on each screen type (though these enemies get refreshed once you leave the screen). You can keep track of where you have been by the corpses of your vanquished foes.

Also, to get to the heart of the forest, you can get some hints from the Dryad, if your Charisma is high enough. I think.

If you're not intersted in that, there are walkthroughs out there. I saw a link for one pop up a couple of days ago on the board.

thanks i got to where i think i was supposed to be but now i can't get back to that point talked to the druid and she to me what to do and tried dropping items but can't find my way yet.

Fell wood is a tricky place =)

Wilderness Lore skill can help you get thru the forest. In fact, it's probably the best way to do so, without relying on walkthrus.
