Was I evil, or just ungreatful for no gratitude? (spoiler)

The shadow druid in Cloakwood that wishes your help.
I helped him cause they didn't convince me. 4000 exp plus 120 for the lesser druids and a animal charm ring.
Then I spoke to the guy who asked for my help.

"I have nothing to say to you!"

He said. I just killed 4 people to protect his, so I thought "why not take his as well. It seemed like the druids was correct about him nonetheless".
So I killed him. 2000 exp and a Bastard Sword +1 +3vs. Shapeshifters.
I continued on, until I reached Baldurs Gate. There I got attacked by someone who claimed ot be his brother. This guy was a thief. "Hmm... I assume killing the shadow druid wasn't such a bad thing after all" so I killed his brother as well. Light Crossbow of Speed he gave me... well, I took it.
Point being, was I evil that killed 6 guys for 3 items? No Rep losses, but still. I didn't realize the 4 druids was right until after their death, so I thought I should avenge their death, allthough it was caused by me.
I had no other chance but to defend myself from his brother either.

Thats, funny i've never gotten that response by helping aldeth sashenstar. Perhaps you accidentally harmed him? About being evil i'd have to say it depends on if you a lawful alingment or not.

I'm Neutral. I don't like being lawful, cause I dislike the Flaming Fists. They think that what they do is good, and that anyone that doesn't do what they do is bad and evil. That's why I save Viconia, even if I don't have her in my party. Just because she's a drow he assumes she's a murderer. That is so not right.

I use to edit my Paladins so they are Neutral or Chaotic Good with Gate Keeper.

Aldeth is actually a bit buggy--you have do help him in just the right way, or he'll act like you offended him or something, and won't be nice to you ever again.

Killing the Druids was perfectly kosher--all you did was refuse to help them, and they attack you? They asked for it.

Killing Aldeth? Well, if his AI script hit a bug, that means he's broken. SO it's a sort of executing-the-mentally-retarded issue. You could support the ethics of both sides.

Killing Dabron wasn't evil--again, he attacked you. (HOW much must he have drunk to think he could take on 6 powerful adventurers by himself?)

He wasnt just refusing to help he was agreeing to help defend aldeth.

I couldnt help but noticing that Inoma saved Visconia. Does this mean you used her in your party? I posted an opinion poll on this forum about how good she is but nobody really gave me a superb answer. Please reply on your opinion of Visconia if you did in fact use her. Oh and i would also agree with being a little bit evil from time to time. Like in the burning Wizard at beregost a little Dwarf thief nicks 100gp from you or in the Nashkell Fair another tries to steal from you as well. In both cases i killed them both and took their stuff without losing any rep points so it was easy xp.

I had Jaheira with me, so I believed the Druids, and happily whacked him. Gildor Fairflight, my character, is chaotic good, anyway.
