I read on this page - http://bg.davidlynch.org/i-xbows.html - that there wasa heavy crossbow of accuracy (arrows +2, Thaco +5) to be found in the carnival area on Dabron Sashenstar, who wouldn't be there if you helped his brother Aldenath Sashenstar out by killing the druids in the first area of the Cloakwood. Apparently you had to kill Aldenath for dabron to appear. Does anyone know if Dabron puts in an appearance anywhere else, as I don't really want to choose between the X-bow and the Bastard Sword+1, +3vs. shapeshifters?

If he doesn't appear anywhere else I say most deffinatly go for the crossbow you could take out like anyone with that thing.

or get both by first siding with his brother and killing the druids then immediately attack him. It worked for me

if you kill the druids you get bastard sword or x-bow?

Dabron appears if you kill his brother anywhere. Lucky you! (Of course, you have to roleplay an utter bastard to get both weapons, but at least you CAN.)

You need to kill Aldenath to get the cross bow becsue that triggers his brother to appear in BG. You can kill both though and you do not lose any rep.

Hmmm.....Thanks everyone. Decisions decisions...X-Bow or Sword...Or both...Powergamer or roleplayer? Not sure about being the Mr. nasty and killing both
