This isn't a BG question, but since it IS an Forgotten Realms computer-based RPG question, I'm sure at least one of you can answer this: I've acquired the Forgotten Realms Silver Edition collection from Interplay (I, II, and III). These come with a large manual that supposedly applies to all the scenarios/quests; still, there is no manual for each particular game explaining how to play (computer instructions--not how to play AD&D). I'm assuming each game had its own unique ref card with instructions, etc--how can one possibly acquire these unique manuals (for example, the Eye of the Beholder series) to play correctly (as opposed to feeling them out and figuring out what key means "talk" as opposed to the key that means "kill"). I'm assuming the Ultima archive collection also works in this way, and how can this be dealt with? A long question, I know--I stick to BG next time.

Did you try searching the directories of the CDs which come with the game? Maybe there are some readme text files with the info you require. Personally, I seldom refer to reference cards (ironic, isn't it ) focus more on the manual itself (to get the gist of the story). From what I remember, the Eye of the Beholder series is quite straight-forward (if not for the fact that we're thousands of kilometers apart, I could lend you the actual manuals), except that you should try using the spacebar to "search" for secret doors instead of using the mouse to point-click on some obscure point on the screen -- it's faster and fail-safe that way.
