you can change npc's pics but naming the pic after the npc in the game and putting it in the overide file just make sure its the same as the game identifier for the game for example just use the first 6 letters i think was how you did it. If I remember right

He probably posted it because he was interested in the subject and thought other people would also be. Oddly enough, other people are interested in doing just this. However, his instructions on how to do this are incorrect.

Not to be rude or anything, but why would you even ask why someone would post something they think is interesting?

Because

i)His grammar was bad, making it hard to see where he was going.

ii)he posted a piece of information for no apparant reason

iii)he made a statement, and he is the first person to ever just spout a statement of information for no apparant reason.

Thats why.

You didn't like his grammar? That's not a very good reason for dissing someone. Gee, Lavinda, you're really mean. He's just excited about a piece of information he learned and wanted to share it.

And, it's about time someone started posting information rather than just asking for help. That should be encouraged, not discouraged. How many posts do you see with the words "Help ME" in them all the time? Lots, huh? "Me of Course" is a breath of fresh air. He wants to share what he's learned- giving rather than just taking. I praise him with great praise.

Me of Course, thanks for posting that information, even if you got a few details wrong. When I first got BG, I was really interested in figuring out how to change NPC portraits too. Some of the portraits assigned to the characters are just plain bad, aren't they? I think the one I disliked the most was the one depicting Xzar.

[/QUOTE]WTF?

Firstly, I wasn't dissing him. I was wondering why he posted it.

Secondly, I didn't "diss" him because of his grammar. I didnt have a clue what he was on about because of his grammar. Was it a question or a statement?

And I disagree, information shouldn't be posted. We'd be here all year. We could post different bit of information all year round and have lots left...let's just answer questions when people get stuck....

Posting random facts can also lead to spoilers and what not.

And you're really mean? What is that? Grow up.

In the turning of several centuries the Nile River has hence frozen over twice in its long history. As well as the fact that this pertains to BG in absolutely no fashion or regard what so ever, but it is information, as well as the fact that I cannot, under no faulty position of my own, be allowed to forthwith give my character of any game in the BG station, red polka dotted underwear. As I hear this is a terribly high regarded fashion in some places of southern California, I would therefore like to know, this part being my questionaire, how to give my beloved half-elf ranger a lovely pair of red with white polka dot boxers with which to impress the npc ladies of the BG world. Silk, if you please.

Thank you kindly for any positive or negative response any individual of this wonderfully ethnical Ironworks forum may indeed have for me.

*phew*

Those sound sexy! Maybe it will become a requirement to have such undies in the future? I sure hope so.
