Ex Cap Removal Helllpp! (please) Tosc

First, cooooll game, been hooked ever since bg1 then tosc ,bg2 and tob and torment haven't tried iwd but heard nothing but good things ,hhmmmm! nwn interesting format change not heard anything about it but will no doubt be surprised by it .any way i had no idea that such a large community had grown up around the infinity engine (you only have to see the variety of people on the forums to see that).I first started to look at the forums and stuff early bg1 and didn't come back until now late bg2 a bit of a gap and such a lot has happened then there are all of the mod (which i have JUST discovered oooooooo can't wait).
Anyway I have a problem (please keep your comments to youself

i installed bg1 5cd set (i'm using the uk versions) then i installed tosc 1cd then i installed the latest tosc patch bringing me up to v1.3.5521 (no patch installed for bg1)
i can't get any for the xcap removers for tosc to work i have been on to the editor page there are three one says it won't work with tosc so i've not tried it the gruntware patch says it works when i try it but doesn't and the sgraffiti patch says i "should obtain newer version of this(?) program to remove experience cap" whether this(?) means newer version of xcap remover or bg1-tosc in don't know that's why i installed the tosc patch all other editors and the xcap remover for bg2 all work
I don't know what's wrong please help me!

ps. EVERYONE is doing a great job, the community,the designers,the amateurs,the games companies(yes even them).everyone keep it.

I can't help you with your question, as I have never used one, but I have completed BG1+TotSC (UK version also, with exact same patches as you)...and I can say that you don't need to remove the cap. I doubt you will hit the 161,000 by TotSC.

My thief hit 156,400, and that is with doing virtually every quest (im that kind of player)...

So my advice would be to not get hung up about it, and just enjoy the game.

thanks for the post mate,i'm running a mage\thief and planned to do a runthru of 1 thru tob with the same char and can't be bothered at yet another restart but hope you keep adventuring i'll "see" you around
