I have done it! i have the most powerful mage in existence!
I haven't even filled up his book yet! level 1 he has 200 magic missiles he can cast! and more "fireballs, Flaming arrows, and Lightning bolts than countable!
(approperately name Raistlin Majere)!

anyone got a mage stronger??

Um, don't mean to burst your bubble there Matt, but anyone can create a god with Gatekeeper and the tons of custom items that are available at numerous customization sites out there.

I'm not at my own pc at the moment to check. You could certainly create an item using an editor that would give you 10,000 if you wished. I've seen some amazing character files with characters equipped with items like that.

I didn't know the limit in Gatekeeper was so high on spells/scrolls. I know if you conjure arrows and bullet, the default is 10,000 (I think) but I always bring it down to a hundred. That's about the only thing I use GK for anyhow. (much easier to stack arrows/bullets there)

Creating a character with so many level 1 (or any level) seems pointless to me. Why bother playing the game?

I have decided I was a little too stringent in my previous response. so in an attempt to make amends, I have a sweet little gnomish fighter/cleric named Evening Star I'd like you to meet. She's the one who, while reading you your last rites to ensure your soul meets with the appropriate deity after you die, will be ever-so-efficiently smiting you with her blessedly effective battle ax---and all the while her friend the rangeress Garnet FalconDance will be plinking you with three arrows per round as you are struggling to get off the first magic missile spell before you fall.

(And these gals are completely legit.

Actually, Garnet, you could use either one of these characters solo and take out Raistlin.

At first level, he will have no more than 4hp (uh....unless he CHEATED, of course). At best, he can only do 2-5dmg with a Missile or 1-6dmg with a Fireball. Meanwhile, it should take no more than 2 hits from the battleaxe or 2 arrows (at most) to send Majere to his final reward.

As others have pointed out, why would you want to create a 1st level "God of the Magi" character? I agree that Raistlin was a very cool mage in the Dragonlance books, but even he was nowhere near this powerful. What fun will it be to simply "steamroll" over everything in your path? As J'aran pointed out, the game is going to get VERY boring VERY quickly. So what if you legit character gets killed? You can always Re-Load and try again. That's part of the fun of the game.

Well, that's my opinion anyway. The choice is ultimately yours. Either way, I hope you enjoy the game and this forum...speaking of which.....
