Anything, but preferably those with high damage and elemental damage as well.

Really I thought you needed +2 or better.

I am pretty sure I have used normal arrows against the Shadow Dragon before. If you have any trouble with weapon usage, and you get the message, "Weapon Ineffective", it is more likely because the Dragon has a spell protection up.

Ice/Flame/Acid Arrows and Arrows of Biting/Piercing definitely work against Dragons, and they are all +1 enchanted only.

ADD] Yes, normal weapon definitely do work. I have used the Horn Berserker against Dragons before. Maybe certain Dragons like the ones in ToB have weapon immunities, but that is because they are bosses, major bosses.

Here's what would recommend.

You need to go after Firkraag first. Get weapons that will give you resistances to fear and fire type of damage. Then just go all out on him with your best stuff. Be sure to summon things like Mordenkainen's sword and skeleton warriors.
Once you finish his dungeon and kill Firkraag your dragon fighting problems will be over. TRUST ME.

In his dungeon, you will recieve A dragon helm which prevents fire and charm i believe. Also you will recieve a dragon shield which does the same. PLUS! after you defeat Firkraag you get the CARSOMYR+5 WHOO HOOO! and some red dragon scales which can be used to make red dragon plate, probably the BEST armor in
SOA.

Normal weapons work, but dragons are accomplished spellcasters, and can (and do) buff. if a dragons casts protection from magic weapons you'll need regular weapons just to hurt it.

they also have a darn good AC as well, which is why even low level monster summoning is useful, it makes more targets while you're trying like heck to break through their scales.

Actually, I found Dragon Slayer (Long Sword +2 double dam vs. dragons) quite useful against Firkraag and Thaxy'lla, and later I found halberd Dragonbane, which is also ment to be used against dragons, but I never actually tried it in that manner, because I never used proficiency points on halberds. (Maybe I should, Halberd +4 Wave looks promising)
