I'm still in SOA chapter 3 but I installed the TOB expansion pack. I've noticed now that when Viconia levels up she gets a new 'Abilities' screen and I select one of the icons. However, I don't know how to access them. The 'Special Abilities' button in the lower right of the screen remains greyed out.
When Minsc got them such as "Whirlwind Attack" they showed. Is this a bug? |

Did Viconia reached 3M XP?
All classes get High Level Abilities once reached 3M XP.

Since I'm in the office I haven't checked - Would have assumed since it let me select an icon such as "energy blades" it would allow me to use them. I looked in her "priest spells" and I didn't see them there either.

Some high-level abilities are actual special abilities where as others are maximum level spells. Globe of Blades should appear in the level 7 spells, its picture is a dot surrounded by 4 lines going up, down, left and right and has 4 more lines going arround the outside in a circle. If it isn't there it may be a bug.

All characters get Abilities when they reach a certain level- 20 for fighters and barbarians, 18 for rangers, paladins, mages and sorcerers, 22 for clerics and monks, 15 for druids, and 24 for thieves and bards. When they get to that level, and for each level after, they get to choose a Special Class Ability, accessed for the Abilities button at level up. Before they reach this level the button is greyed out. They choose abilities from their class pool- Fighters, rangers, paladins, barbarians, and monks use the Warrior pool, mages and sorceres use the wizard pool, and clerics, druids, thieves and bards all use their own pool although clerics and bards have many of the same abilties and thieves and bards share many abilities. See the ToB manual for descriptions. Warriors and rogues use their abilities from the Special Abilties button and clerics/mages use them from their respective spellbooks.
