Gromnir's fight was terrible. Two pathetic mages, an archer, a thief and Gromnir himself. Sarevok killed Gromnir in about three rounds! He was the first one to die, even with the mages being pumped full of Crom Faeyer and Celestial Fury, and Wave Halbred in addition to spell triggers. Was anyone else seriously dissapointed by this fight?

yeah, and improved Gromnir isn't that much harder-makes the characters a little tougher and adds a quite tough hunting cat.

What do you expect from a patsy half-orc stooge who no-one has ever heard of? Has he done mighty deeds? Fought powerful enemies? Defeated evils? By this stage, you and your party are LEGENDS! Believe me, the REAL bad guys worthy of your steel are elsewhere. Gromnir just needed to be put in his place, the smelly upstart oik.

Actually... Gromnir was on your side. He saw Melissan for what she is, even though your PC was oblivious to the blinding fact till the very end... ...

I sometimes feel like screaming at the monitor, "SHE'S EVIL DAMNIT!!!! CAN'T YOU SEE?!?!"

sooo, sooo True...

I was truly suprised at the depth of all the story of the BG2 series. It was incredible to think back and realise "WOW! He WAS right!"

Remember the Forest Spirit? He said something like "the face of an ally, the mask of a foe." Gotta love foreshadowing.

Easy to say with a 20/20 hindsight vision

But I bet most, if not all, gamers do agree with you. That's the one major drawback of course in Crpg's. It does not give you full freedom in your replies and actions as would a pnp rpg.
