if u install throne of bhaal do u have to beat SoA before you can start gaining items and quests that you can do in ToB?

You can't gain any quests from Tob in SoA and you can't pick up any items that wouldn't normally be in SoA. Not much changes.

You can go to watcher's keep while in SoA, though.
