This may be a stupid question, but if you are using one of the default portraits (in my case, it's Haer Dalis' portrait), does the character it belongs to in the game simply not apear? Its just something Ive not been able to figure out. Thanks.

no, the NPC is still there, just with a different portrait.

Ok, supposing he just appears with a different portrait, but then there'll always be one portrait less, won't there? that doesnt seem to be right, are you sure about that?

HaerDalis appears with Eldoth's portrait if you are using his.
No there will not be a portrait less because all BG1 portraits are not beiing used by any NPC in the game.

yes Enigma and Eledenil is correct, that happened to e once, i didn't know that the portrait i used was keldorn's so when i played and met keldorn. he has a different portrait. i've only found out that i was using keldorn's portrait is in this site and others.

Well Ive been playing for over a year now and I only JUST found this out last week [img]smile.gif[/img] It came as quite a surprise to me... and now Im trying to see who comes out with whos portraits now [img]smile.gif[/img]
