I beleive in controversy

Now let's face it. Some characters are better than others. Keldorn would be good against mages and Korgan has the best HP, Aerie has most spells, Jan is the best thief (best comic relief character too!) and so on. Now since there is far TOO much squabble bet. good vs evil NPC's we don't seem to put those "known" squabllers into our teams. If all were allowed to vanish, let's try our "dream team".

Not a bad team.... heres my dream team (and I have played it, hard to keep it going without Keldorn attack Vic but a bit of SKing neva hurt nebody, neway, sry but Im including Sarevok)

Jaheira

I love that team.... great fun indeed

He's the best Paladin NPC in the game

Seriously though, I found him to be a great tank, he doesn't get priest spells but makes up for this with being able to cast True Sight x times a day not to mention he is immune to hold and charm.
His Strength isn't the best but there are plenty of girdles of giant strenth in the game to get around this.
Personally I would include him in any good aligned party.

Best NPC party, no boundaries:

Me (Cavalier)
Minsc
Korgan
Yoshimo
Edwin
Viconia

This is because the cavalier is the best Paladin Kit, Minsc is one of the best fighters and is a good comic relief. Korgan is also a very good fighter. Yoshimo is the only straight thief, so he is a must-have. Edwin is the only straight mage and Viconia is the only straight cleric, and she is good to romance aswell.

my favourite team if i went for efficiency would be:

kensai/mage (magical shock trooper)
mazzy (archer)
jaheira (stoneskin-supported tank, backup healer)
viconia (
edwin (artillery mage)
imoen (mage/backup archer/thief)
