Hmm hello someone that can look at this. I should think that many of you have killed those creatures.
It is the Balor room i think, with one Succubus and 3 fast mean machines + some more. Plzz any advices.. I need the Red Gem and the Thives Hood from that guy.

This method is a little slow, but it works like a charm.
1) Rest, heal, and memorize spells 2) Charge into the room 3) Mage casts Time Stop 4) Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting x2 5) Cleric summons Deva and/or druid casts Creeping Doom 6) send the fastest runner to the other portal and exit the room 7) Check your party's health and repeat as necessary. Is it lame? Most likely. Does it work? Most definitely.

Agree with Azred. Lots of folks think it's cheesy, but that's the way I did it, first time.

Hmm, I have two suggestions, if it's the room I'm thinking about:
1. Follow Azreds advice 2. Try to take the Baatezu first. If ya find this match easier, you can just give his heart to Tahazzer, and he will let ya go. see ya! |

Teehee~
Well, I'll tell you how I solo'ed the room with a sorcerer, a short time ago, and you may be able to form a strategy from this jumbled spontaniety. Keep in mind i'm doing this in chapter 3(not relevant) at level 25 (very relevant). I enter: pause, cast chain contingency-protection from magic weapons, stoneskin, mirror image. The spell is good and done pretty much. Then I immediately cast project image. Tahazzar does his little "i'm pissed" schpiel and goes sour milky hostile on me. Contingency goes off (set to sight enemy) and my image has gone into his time stop incantation. time stops and I: cast improved alacrity; summon devax3 (leaves me with 1 last level 9/10 spell~later to be cast as comet), lower resistancex4 on tahazzar; greater malison, slow, mordenkainen's swordx3 (I enjoy this spell). Time stop is about to close, so i then cast magic missilex6 on myself to remove the projected image. My little elf moves over to the right of the room and conducts the battle. ~> Take out the two baatezu and tahazzar before anything else with whatever force you're able to muster, in which ever order you prefer (found it didn't matter which kicked the bucket first, when playing a cavalier). Now, i'm sure you are not soloing a magic user, and i'm guessing you're in no position to catch them all off guard so quickly as is possible here. However, i'm guessing you aren't playing insane difficulty either, so if it does get so frusterating you get the urge to pop something -try reducing the difficulty =D of course, if you wanted solo sorcerer advice you could always ask dundee, i felt i could share a bit of my newly accumulated wisdom ;p |

quote: Thanks for the compliment, your tactic is very similiar to my own tactics. ![]() ![]() What a legimate Sorcerer can do within the time frame of a Time Stop, Screenshot taken the moment Time Stop ended. That was using the PRATI tactic, another example by my Necromancer, in an evil party. Screenshots. And no, I do not hate Gromnir. It is just that it is easier to demostrate what you do can in that fight since the battlearena is so big. |
