Hm, I normally have around 40k XP, which means about 5-6 level for most of the guys and gilrs. And managed every time to clear the ship. OK, it's no "straight going in and kill everything"-battle then, especially not the last level, but it is possible to win.
One small hint: search through all levels of the ship very carefully, especially before entering the final level... |

They can be quite tough - main thing is magic (or silver) weapons all round, plus the usual buffing spells (esp haste).
You've also got an advantage in that you can run in, hit 'em and run back out again. Make sure you concentrate all your fire-power on one target, take him out, then move on. Monster Summoning (as usual) is good as well. |

One thing to remember with the hit and run tactic is that the werewolves regenerate their hps, so don't spend too long between going down and up the stairs.
I'm usually around 110 - 120,000 xps when I attempt the ship, and I find it in the same catagory as the warders at durlags and the final battle with Sarevok. Strategy will usually save the day with these battles but because you have no time to position your crew, it makes this battle a bit harder IMO. What I do is send my tanks up first, with Haste(potions 'cause they last longer), Bless and Chant; and let them position themselves away from the stairs, concentrating them on one enemy at a time. I then send in my backup (Theif, Mage etc...) behind them to mop up what's left.

@ Dowunda
Yes, the bad positioning of the party was always my main problem, because especially in the last level the weaker chars can also be attacked witout problems, thus there I had my casualities. But, shame on me, I never tried to send in only my tanks or the tanks first and then the weaker chars. Costed me quite a few reloads sometimes... |

It is a hard fight....just use buffer spells..
And my problem was Dynaheir always came closest to the front, so everyone attacked her...a tip is, cast "Resiliant Sphere", and you can attack them while they attack D pointlessly!

My main character was a mage and nearly everytime i went up to the last level he seemed to get placed right at the front of the squad in the line of fire. The way i got round it was by using a lot of invis spells and such moved up to the level placed my team and appeared from thin air. Still took me a while though, tough beggars
