Why Drizzt does not have the statue of his panther when you kill him?
Bug?

Good question. I would kill Dritzz immediately, if I could get Guenhwyvar... Too bad that games developers hasn't think that...

Yes, Guenhwyvar is in cat form, but the statuette remains even after the summoning. I think this was simply an oversight when creating Drizzt for the game. Continuing with this line of reasoning, Drizzt should have bracers of speed (on his feet), Cattie-Brie should have a Sword of Sharpness (good ol' Khazidhea) etc. Actually, Wulfgar shouldn't be with them, if you recall. I suppose it depends upon the timing of SoA versus the books. They haven't been this far south since The Halfling's Gem, unless they are going to visit Cadderly for the first time, but even then you would encounter only Drizzt and Cattie-Brie (with Harkle, Robillard, Capt. Duerdemont (sp), etc). Just enjoy the game (and try to not kill Drizzt--he is a force for goodness, after all).

My point was - that if Guen is already in panther form when Drizzt et al are encountered, that she might revert to statue form when she is killed and her statue wouldn't necessarily be on Drizzt's corpse!
I agree though, about not killing Drizzt. Bad form to kill him, IMHO.

No Guenhwyvar isnt summoned when u 1st encouter Drizzt in BG2... If u remember he is talking 2 Bruenor about losing his "red" hammer. Then if you tell him that you killed him near Baldurs Gate and it is time to rectify the fact that he is alive Drizzt Summons the Panther and it attacks you.
