Dual Class Question

Hey there good people,

I am planning a new character; He or she will be a Kensai dualled to mage. Now I am still deciding on what level I should dual the Kensai to mage. I would be very helpful, if you guys could give me some suggestions and/or share your experience on the subject with me.

9th level. That's because you get another weapon point to allocate at 9th. 12th is good, too, for that same reason. But with 9th, I think you stand a far better shot at finishing the game after having risen to the top of your profession. (Hint: I'd also suggest dismissing some of the friendlier NPCs who will hang around right after you switch professions. That means all the experience your new mage gains from learning spell scrolls is more concentrated on the few remaining people. You can quickly get to 8th or 9th level, that way, then build your party back up.)
