Now one generally starts out a story like this with something like "It was an epic battle, the likes of which historians remember for lifetimes to come." But, that was not the case in this battle. I knew the odds were against me going in, but the seal had to be resealed. I knew that some very tough enemies were going to becoming at me once I turned the last key, but I was prepared. My companions and I had summoned a flesh golem, a hero of valhalla, mishru, the dreaded spider, and a skeleton to help with these guys. I placed the summoned monsters to the west to help kill the beholder that would be appearing near there. I also cast 2 spell immunities on myself making me immune to necromancy and enchantments. myself and my companions were hasted, and Aerie and I were invisible. She was using the staff of magi, and she activated all the defensive capabilites. With more defensive spells cast then one could name on a page. I turned the key, an raced to the west side of the room, in order to deal with the creatures soon to appear over there. Then they came. Some sort of demon, a hive mother, a lich, i think, a dual weilding kensai, an archer, and a mage. I sent mishru and all the summoned creatures to attack the "lich". while the rest of us concentrated on the archer. Blow after brutal blow landed on the "lich" , but they were immune to all of it. Aerie, and I cast every magic we had available to us, but soon Aerie was overcome by the hive mother. then The demon waded over and took out valygar. Minsc got hacked apart, by the dual weilding kensai, jaheira fell victim to many an arrow wound. Anomen died next as the hive mother snuffed out his live. So alone and surrounded by evil I made my final stand. I cast a magic missle, which was enough to extinguish the life from the dreaded archer, but the force of evil was too great as I was littlerly torn apart by the bloodthirsty demon. It seems not all quests for good have a happy ending. No matter how noble one's heart, you can not escape the inevitable. I was overmatched and I was bested by the fiends. Thus dies the party of the noble kensai/mage Kencin Kilkadin Lord of the de'Arnise keep, Hero of trademeet, Dragonslayer. He was not the best and he paid the price. May he rest in peace, his bones strewn among other on the floor next to the doorway of the great seal.

Woah, you mean you never reload if your char dies? That's pretty cool.

I can't say I NEVER do. If something is really shady, or I feel I was legitimately cheated, a reload is coming, but If I am defeated fair and square, the character, and that particular game die a rather swift death.

Don't worry about me its alright, Iv'e got another party working in the underdark right now so everything is just peachy. The real problem was i dualclassed them to recently before i fought that battle. What a way to go. They were only operating at like single class level 12-13. bunch of sissys.
