Last of my BG census posts!!

i)I take it you use archers??

ii)What are your favourite arrows?

iii)Do you accumulate them? But rarely use them?

iv)Do you buy magical arrows, and would never dream of having an ordinary arrow in your bow??

i)Of course, I have too. Myself (Theif) and Kivan. Both with magical bows.

ii) Arrows of biting, Arrows of Fire, Arrows of Ice, Arrow of Ogre Slaying.

iii)I get lots of magical arrows, and I only use them for the big fights!!

iv)I very rarely buy magical arrows!! I always buy the arrow of the ogre slaying! But I usually just use the arrows that I pick up on my travels, and buy the cheapo ordinary arrows for the little fights!!

Arrows of detonating are brilliant when used under the right circumstances (ie. when you're on your own and surrounded by monsters) and I use them relatively frequently. I like acid arrows and fire/ice arrows too. Possibly the best ones are arrows of biting though - all you need is one such arrow and it is goodbye to any evil mage opposing you. Wonderful things, projectiles

I agree, Arrows Of Biting are the best arrows that there is.....They can reduce the amount of time a battle takes by quickly eliminating Mages...

YAY for arrows of biting! Never bought an abnormal arrow in my life (too expensive early in the game and by the time you have enough money, you have accumulated enough "magic" arrows to last 'till the end of the game). I always buy magic rocks for my ladys slings (Dynaheir and Jaheira) as these are extremely rare before Durlags.

Arrows of Biting. Poison 30% of max HP unless save vs. death is hard to beat. Then Ice Arrows and Arrows +2.

iv)I never buy magic arrows.

I use 4 archers, Imoen, Khalid, Minsc and "myself". Imoen is on "hiding shadows" almost all the time, and comes into battle only if it´s really necessary. All of the archers change to melee weapons (mainly magical swords) if the enemies get near enough, which is the case only if they attack in numbers, or if my mage messes up throwing fireball or stinking cloud.

I buy quite a lot magical arrows, but they don´t cost me too much; so my bank account keeps growing. I use regular arrows most of the time, and Ice & Biting arrows when really needed.

Every character has a ranged weapon ready. If the enemy lives long enough to close with us, those in contact change to melee weapons.

Mages retreat to stay at missile range. Mages need a missile weapon, even if they don't have proficientcy, to keep them from automatically closing and getting themselves killed.

I buy some +1 arrows and stones to fight vampiric wolves and other things that can't be hit by normal weapons. I only use magic ammo where I really need to.

Carrying enough ammo can be a problem!

I always make sure that all of my characters are at least proficient in the use of one missile weapon or other, but only my mage/thief actually uses it. For long-range combat, I tend to rely heavily on spells.
ii)What are your favourite arrows?
Believe it or not: normal, nonmagical arrows.
iii)Do you accumulate them? But rarely use them?
Yes. See my answer to i).
iv)Do you buy magical arrows, and would never dream of having an ordinary arrow in your bow??
Never buy magical arrows. Again, see i).

Today I have used some more arrows, which I didnt mention.

Arrows Of Detination
Arrows Of Dispelling Magic

Both are quite rare, expensive, and do a great job!
