Lol, thanx for your congratulations...

It's the second time I have done BG fully, so it wasnt anything new. I found this second run through much easier also,,,just walked every fight. There wasn't one I couldnt do.

I will be exporting to BG2, that is what I did this game for: as I lost my first game character when my cpu got a virus: I started BG2, but I've decided to start IWD instead for the mo. Hehee

Hmm, I dont know. I finished IWD then started BG, played it several times (never fully to the end, but what) and I couldnt find the courage to start IWD again (I have two datadiscs by now, I havent play any of them). The world in BG, great NPCs, more roleplaying, more adventure, all this I love so much. And IWD its just a little bit more than hack'n'slash. I wish you will enjoy IWD too, but I think it will never be so great as BG.

If you haven't already, you should get the Heart of Winter expansion for IWD. It's not just some extra areas, it actually makes some really nice improvements. Higher resolution, more items, more spells, more bard songs, game balance changes, etc. I'm really starting to like IWD quite a bit. It has tons of items, all with interesting histories, and the fact that many items are randomized leads to some nice replay value, or a little bit of variety at least. I also like the fact that there are more items that are class, race, or alignment specific. Very cool.

As for IWD being hack & slash, well there is a lot of fighting, but it's not just mindless killing like in Diablo 2. There are some great battles that will have you on the edge of your seat, especially if you build a party with somewhat realistic stats (no 18/18/18 chars).

I think I still like BG1 better though

I've been playing it today, and I got deep into the Vale of Shadows....and I've decided that it is not as good as BG1, but I'm still gonna enjoy it...It just seems to be fight after fight after....
