I am in Anthalkatafke (whatever the name of the desert town after the saradush stuff) but want to go to Watcher's Keep. Can I leave the town (have already talked to Marlowe), do Watcher's Keep and then come back to town however far later it may be? In other words are there any time specific things I would need to do first or can I take, say a three week hiatus, and dungeon crawl?
Also, can you go to your pocket plane from Watcher's Keep? ------------------  Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig |

Yes, you can do watcher's keep now.
There is no time specified plots that will stop you from doing it. Also, your pocket plane is accessible at any time during game play. I frequently had to use it.
