Without Major Story or Battle spoilers!
Are there any non-upgradable weapons in BG2 that your are still using. Actually extend this to all items....ie rings armour..etc. |

Hmmm...let's see...I'm still using: (keep in mind that I haven't gotten all that far in ToB yet)
Mauler's Arm for Aerie Gorgon Plate Red Dragon Armor Robe of Vecna Robe of Good Archmagi Staff of the Woodlands Silver Sword Heartseeker Mana Bow Staff of the Magi Armor of the Hart +3 Crom Fayer Sling of Everard Helm of Brilliance Girdles of Giant Strength Gesen Bow Phantom Bow Shield of Harmony Boots of speed Lots of stuff... I think that's most of the big hitters...  P.S. - You'll have *lots* of opportunities to buy Boots of Speed if you so desire in ToB (I don't really consider this a spoiler...) My party now has 5 pair... ------------------  Now where did I leave that doughnut?! |

I haven't come across any shields better than what is in SoA, as of yet...
I don't recall that there are any ungradeable shields, either...but maybe I just haven't found one yet... P.S. - Avatar, how long are you going to continue to torment yourself with these little ToB teasers?  ------------------ Now where did I leave that doughnut?! |

There's a great +4 shield on a certain redhead outside of the first city you are in in ToB! Pretty good armor, too! It replaced the Red Dragon armor on my Cav. Gave it (the RDA) to Jaheira, so now she looks even hotter...
