Problem with T.o.B.

i can't talk to anyone. Imoen automatically comes up and talks to me (in the beginning). But after that, I cant start a converation with anyone. They dont even tell me, they are busy, I cant even click on them, to talk to them. But, if I use one of the NPCs my party, they can.

Maybe it was a mistake to do a fresh install of BG2, then TOB on top of that. Maybe I should have installed on top of a patched version.

Have you read some of the problems other people are having. This sounds like it could be the same thing. Doing a fresh install should have nothing to do with what you are experiencing. It is more likely a OS compatibility thing or maybe something do do with you video drivers. What version of Directx are you running?

Yea it sounds like the Windows 2000 issue, I assume you have windows 2000, since your description sounds pretty much like it.

Baldur's gate isn't 100 percent compatable with windows 2000 or windows 98 2nd edition. It says right on the box recommended for windows 95/98.
The speach issue with NPCs and such not responding is a glitch with the version of windows you are using.
The only way people have found so far to fix it, is to leave the area and re-enter. or exit the game and re-enter. It seems to be very annoying. Hopefully Black Isle will come out with some sort of fix that can help.
