i see the temple of lolth but they don't seem to want to help. i need to get someone raised. i'd get my cleric to do it but guess who is the one that needs raising.

One doesn't get temple services in the Underdark, unfortunately. It's a common mistake... The best advice for you would be to reload, if possible... And next time, bring along a Rod of Resurrection and a handful of Scrolls of Restoration.

Yeah, the blood can be difficult. Might I suggest you go west?

wasn't that bad. i'm outside again now. cloak of mirroring, shield against charm, domination and other things, sword protecting against fear. i was nigh unstoppable when i went south. east was a little tricky. west was easy enough, didn't have time for it at first so came back after everything else was done.
how exactly do you recharge items anyway?

Just sell 'em, and then buy them back. It seems that all merchants, including peddlers in the Bridge district, have access to fantastic magical powers, and though they're potent enough to recharge a Rod of Resurrection, they choose to remain lowly merchants instead of, you know, recharging their own Wands of Monster Summoning to stage massive coups of the Amnish government.

You can check this easily by attacking any merchant. They will usually die after one or two hits. Don't you think if they had any magic powers they would be able to defend themselves? or at least cast some spell. And it is not an item the merchants carry that allows them to recharge rods. I checked and killed some of them and they drop nothing like that. When I checked shadowkeep I could find no 'recharger' item either. Though such an item could certainly be useful for my adventurers ![]() Like I said I think it's a bug of the game engine that was overlooked by programmers. Can anyone verify this for sure?

::tilts head to one side:: What was that? It sounded like some kind of wooshing, as if something had bypassed something else by a great volume at some degree of velocity. Judging from the trajectory, it seemed to be a great deal above the level of the average person's head. What was that sound? Anyone? Anyone?
