Mad

I installed the throne of bhaal over the xmas break, and for whatever reason, when I go to start the game, everything lags. Before, it ran smooth, no lags, could see all the weather, sound was ok. I installed 300-some MB of ram over 2 years ago to run this game and I've never had this problem before!
There is only one other thing. I also installed a wireless router with a firewall so someone else can do the internet thing with her laptop. I'm plugged directly into the thing, but I can't see a problem since I'm not playing on the internet. I prefer to play multiplayer, so I'm not sure if this affects it(it does the same in single player too).
HELP!!!????????

Please?

multiplayer does run slower than single player, but that isn't your problem. I assume your fully patched, if not, you can get the latest patch from www.bioware.com i can also suggest a full re-install, un-install SOA and TOB and then re-install it. if you have any mods, there is an order that you must follow to install them, i know that official patches are first, then some order that i dont know, maybe somebody else round here could fill you in on that.

Make sure all other programs are closed whn you run the game, including non-essential programs in the taskbar, in the lower right corner of windows.
thats all i can suggest. hope it helps

I had the exact same problem you have, but to be honest I have no idea what I did to solve it. I'll try and find the thread to see if that helps you any.

Have you put anything else that's wireless on the CP? Sometimes games don't run well with wireless keyboards and mice.

Same here, the ''Full Install'' (nocd's required) option on the reinstall fixed it tho, so might it be worth a shot

If you have a 3D graphics card, make sure you've got '3D acceleration' enabled in the Baldur's Gate II Setup. Otherwise your graphics WILL lag.
